Low blood pressure and the effects on our well-being
Blood pressure plays an important part of our health
and well-being on a daily basis in the long term, however, can cause problems
affect us too.
When the term hypertension is mentioned, it is usually
used to describe the blood pressure, but at the opposite end of the
spectrum we also have the condition being low blood pressure, which can
cause many serious health problems, with consequences important.
Whether high or low blood pressure problems are not
treated immediately after diagnosis or identified so they may or may cause
significant health problems in later years, depending on your current health
and fitness level.
Low blood pressure symptoms can cause irreparable
health problems if not treated immediately and in the worst loss of life may
even occur.
The most common reasons or documented for the development of
hypotension is a decrease in blood volume and the medical term for this
is "hypovolemia"
There are many reasons for this condition may develop with
most being associated with changes in the brain and nervous system, which could
be caused by nothing more than the natural aging process.
However, it is a statistical fact that some prescription
drugs can affect blood pressure causing fluctuations in both directions.
As low blood pressure can affect our brain and
nervous system, leading to a direct impact on our core functions could be
interpreted as hypotension should be considered more serious than hypertension.
Orthostatic hypotension is a problem or an issue that
is closely related to hypotension is the term for one of the most common
forms or types of low blood pressure, a simple movement or change in
position of organs can cause blood pressure drop.
Even getting up in the morning can affect our blood
pressure quickly.
You may have experienced this in the form of slight
dizziness or loss of balance.
Drugs can dramatically affect our blood pressure,
they are usually associated with heart problems, but some drugs used to treat
mental health problems can also cause problems and side effects, so when a
patient is likely to take medication for extended period of time it may take
some time to find a suitable formula that has no immediate or long-term side
effects.
Postprandial hypotension is another form of hypotension
that may occur some 30-60 minutes after a meal has been consumed.
As we eat and then digest the food consumed our body will
naturally direct the extra blood to the digestive system, resulting in the
autonomic nervous system and attempt to compensate for slight changes in our
heart rate can occur, you may experienced extreme fatigue or lack of energy for
a short time after eating a large meal?
One of the effects of orthostatic hypotension is that
is causing the autonomic nervous system to become weaker than it already is.
If our autonomic nervous system begins to fail it could
simply be the result of age, but perhaps there is an underlying medical
condition that is why you should consider regular medical checks over the years
without.
Hypotension is just as serious as high bloodpressure, and should never be ignored.
The two terms seem similar but have very different effects
on our bodies.
Neither should be treated lightly or ignored and medical
advice should be sought immediately, even if you have any symptoms such as
health problems untreated can have devastating effects on both the patient and
his immediate family.
